I am sharing this illustration that I made during the first lockdown as part of a challenge where the idea was to illustrate a flower per day. I wished to evoke joy, struggle, beauty and celebration that all related and essential for me. I felt like representing a body that was neither young nor smooth. I mixed different materials: iris, gold, earth and glitter. Hard, shiny, fragile or ephemeral elements because we can alternately radiate or recharge our batteries, deploy our roots, feel weak, or on the contrary are very solid.
