Amid the rubble of destroyed homes and the faces of loved ones who were killed, they find themselves facing a catastrophic humanitarian situation as they struggle for survival. For more than 21 months, they have been paying the heaviest price for a war they did not choose: insecurity and severe shortages of basic necessities such as food, medical supplies, and hygiene kits.

Since the outbreak of the Israeli war on Gaza in 2023, thousands of mothers and pregnant women have faced dire humanitarian conditions amid a near-total lack of medical, health, and nutritional support, leaving them and their children starving.
