Mahacine Mokdad is a Moroccan independent filmmaker and producer. In 2007, she graduated in law and economics, and in parallel with her Masters studies in business law, she started working as a journalist, covering multiple topics for major newspapers in Morocco. Her interest in journalism has over the years taken her from print to broadcast and hones her production skills. As a producer of long-format stories at 2M TV (2011-2015), Mahacine was able to showcase her creativity by regularly pitching hard-hitting stories and reporting from remote areas. Since 2015, Mahacine has been working with several TV channels from around the world as a documentary co-producer and reporter. She has collaborated with CNN, CGTN, Al Jazeera, PBS and TV Globo, among others. In 2019, she finally started her own production company, called “Full Moon Films”, dedicated to working on stories that reflect the realities of under-represented communities.
