Evin Youssef is a Kurdish-Syrian book author, journalist and trainer specialized in the “women and the media” field. Her work entails documenting human rights violations and defending women’s rights in particular in her region. Evin was the president of the Free Media Association for four years in the autonomous region of northeast Syria. She has a certificate of completion of a course she took in Erbil (Iraq’s Kurdistan) on the documentation of human rights violations and international law and has won three prizes as a novelist. Evin has a long experience in editing and writing and publishing articles on several local and regional online sites in Arabic language.
